A man in Ohio was sentenced to life in prison after he killed another driver following a parking lot crash, according to authorities.
On Feb. 14, 2021, officers were called to a parking lot of an apartment complex regarding an active shooter, WKRC reported.
Once at the scene, officers found the victim, identified as Corey Lawwill, shot four times in the parking lot, officials said.
“Corey sped off through the parking lot and he hit some ice," A witness to the crime said,WXIX reported. "I guess when he hit the patch of ice, he hit the back of this white work truck that was out here. The car did a complete 360 in the middle of the parking lot."
The shooter, Cody Crawford, had called 911 himself and said he shot Lawwill after Lawwill hit Crawford’s vehicle, WKRC reported.
Lawwill was transported to UC Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries, authorities said.
