Murder suspect who shot man at intersection set to appear in court on charges

A man who was indicted for murder in connection to the fatal shooting of another man on a street corner after a fight is set to appear in court.
Kyle Wes Wilson, 28, is accused of shooting and killing Robert Lee Gould II, 45, around 1 a.m. June 24 at the intersection of East Temple and Delaware Streets in Ohio, according to the Record Herald.
Wilson could serve 15 years to life in prison plus three years on a gun related-count, if convicted on the murder charge, the Record Herald reported.
Wilson was also indicted in the same case on a felony count of having weapons under disability, according to the Record Herald.
He was also indicted in a separate case on one count of possession of drugs for an incident on April 2, the Record Herald reported.
Wilson’s bail has been set at $1 million on all the charges, according to the Record Herald.
Around 1:15 a.m. Juen 24, police received a call of a possible shooting. Once officers arrived, they found Gould II lying face down on the ground, the Record Herald reported.
EMS was called, but Gould II died at the scene from a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the Record Herald.
Gould II and Wilson were involved in an altercation on the sidewalk at the intersection when the shooting occurred, the Record Herald reported.
Investigative leads revealed that people associated with a narcotics ring were possibly connected to the homicide and an early morning traffic incident on US 35, according to the Record Herald.
At about 4:30 a.m. on June 24, police received a call about an erratic motorist traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of US 35 near Milepost 76, according to the Record Herald.
Deputies identified the only occupant in the vehicle as Wilson, the Record Herald reported.
A firearm, narcotics and cash were found in the vehicle. Police arrested Wilson in connection to the cases, according to the Record Herald.
Wilson is being held in the Fayette County Jail, and his arraignment is set for next week, the Record Herald reported.
