Inmate Captured in Kentucky, Convicted Killer Still at Large After Prison Breakout in Ohio: Officials
An inmate serving time for murder in Ohio escaped from prison with another man and remains at large, authorities said.
Early on May 24, police in Henderson, Kentucky, got into a car and foot chase with the two men who were in a stolen vehicle, which then crashed, WLWT reported.
Cops took James Lee, 47, into custody at the scene, but Bradley Gillespie, 50, was able to evade capture and remain at large, according to officials.
Gillespie has been serving time inthe Allen Oakwood Correctional Institution in Lima, Ohio, since 2016 in connection with a murder.
Lee was imprisoned at the facility in 2021 on burglary- and safecracking-related charges.
Officials declined to provide further details about the prison breakout.
