A man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a deadly shooting earlier this week, Dayton police said.
Quintin Lamar Clemons Sr., 38, has been charged with two counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault and three weapons charges, according to the Dayton Daily News.
The victim of the shooting has been identified as 19-year-old Destiny Davis, the Dayton Daily News reported.
Around 1:15 a.m. on Feb. 8, a woman called 911 and reported her friend had been shot in a possible drive-by shooting in Dayton, Ohio, according to the Dayton Daily News.
Police later said the investigation revealed the shooting was not a drive-by, but took place while people were outside, the Dayton Daily News reported.
“I don’t know where she’s been shot at, but she’s bleeding out,” the 911 caller said, according to the Dayton Daily News. “You need to come get my friend. She’s bleeding out. She can’t talk; she’s unconscious."
When officers arrived, they found Davis with a gunshot wound, and she was pronounced dead at the scene, the Dayton Daily News reported.
Cops say Clemons knew the victim and was identified as witnesses, according to the Dayton Daily News.
Clemons was arrested with help from the U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team, the Dayton Daily News reported.
He has been booked into the Montgomery County Jail, according to the Dayton Daily News.
