Weeks after a man was shot and killed in Ohio, police said they arrested his suspected killer.
On July 25, police in Columbus, Ohio, responded to a West Broad Street for a shots fired call. Officers arrived and found evidence of a shooting, but no victim, according to police.
Moments later, police were dispatched to another nearby shooting and found Robert J. Lester suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. A witness said the shooting happened while they were in a vehicle on West Broad Street and then they traveled to the location where police found Lester.
Officers identified Richard Schoonover as the suspect, and he was arrested last week.
Police have not released a motive in the shooting.
