A 20-year-old Ohio woman was reported missing, and two days later police say they found her dead body in a vacant home
Now, the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office announced that Blake Grewell, 19, was taken into custody in connection to her death.
Brianna Ratliff was last seen on the evening of April 15 in the Coshocton area, police said.
The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a search party on April 18 stating they discovered a dead body matching Ratliff’s description inside a vacant home in Coshocton.
Detectives assessed the scene and it was determined to be the body of Ratliff, police said.
Over the course of the investigation, police learned that Grewell was a former friend of the victim.
This led to the arrest of Grewell, who is allegedly responsible for Ratliff’s disappearance and murder.
At this time, police say he has been charged with aggravated murder. However, additional criminal charges against Grewell are expected, as this is still an open investigation, authorities said.
Police said no motive has been released for this murder.
