Victim Leaves Cheddar's Restaurant To Find Suspect Breaking Into His Car, Then Is Shot During Ensuing Scuffle

A restaurant-goer returned to his vehicle to find a person breaking into his car. When the two got in a scuffle, the victim was shot in the leg.
Now, the alleged thief faces several charges.
Last week, police in Tulsa, Oklahoma, responded to a Cheddar’s restaurant for a reported shooting.
When officers arrived, they saw two men on the ground fighting, according to police. They broke up the two and saw the victim had been shot in the leg.
Officers learned the person shot was eating inside the restaurant. When he finished, he went to his vehicle to find Blevin Williams trying to break inside and steal items, police said.
The two got in an altercation and Williams got the victim’s pistol, police said. During the fight, the gun went off and the victim was shot.
The victim was taken to the hospital and expected to survive the shooting
Police learned Williams arrived at the restaurant in a stolen vehicle. Now, Williams faces charges including assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a stolen vehicle.
