An Oklahoma woman has been arrested after she was found bloodied in a yard and a dead child in her home, police said.
On Feb. 7, police officers responded to a disturbance call in the 800 block of SE 50th Street in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Arriving officers met Carina Romero, 27, in front of the home, according to Oklahoma City police. She had a 2-year-old child with her and blood on her body, cops say.
Romero told police that someone had killed a child in the residence, police noted.
She then took the 2-year-old child into the residence with her, closed the door and refused entry to the officers.
Officers forced their way into the residence and found a dead child inside of the home, according to police. Officers also took custody of the 2-year-old, who was unharmed in the incident.
Romero was arrested and later booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center. She was charged with murder of a child.
