Game night took a serious turn in recent days when a monopoly board went flying and gunshots rang out, police said.
Around 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 26, police in Tulsa, Oklahoma, responded to a reported shooting at a home.
A caller said John Armstrong chased them down the street with a gun and fired a shot at her and her father, police said. Officers arrived and took Armstrong into custody.
Investigators determined the family was drinking alcohol and playing Monopoly when a fight broke out between Armstrong and his stepfather. The game board was knocked off a table and furniture was turned over.
That is when a relative told the two to take it outside.
There, the fight continued, and Armstrong got a cut on his head. He then pulled out a pistol and chased his stepfather and stepsister down the street.
Officers found game pieces scattered around the home but could not find the pistol.
Armstrong was charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
