Man arrested for fatally shooting victim in torso at Oklahoma home, police said
Police in Tulsa, Oklahoma, were called to a home where a man had a victim at gunpoint. But by the time they arrived, the victim was dead, and the suspect fled.
Now, officers say they have caught the man responsible for pulling the trigger.
Jeffrey “Rednel” Dobbs was arrested this week in connection to a Nov. 6 shooting, according to Tulsa police. He was charged with murder and was arrested after a short pursuit.
Around 6:45 p.m. Nov. 6, Tulsa police responded to a home where one of the men was pointing a gun at the victim. As officers were on the way, a 911 caller reported hearing a gunshot, according to Tulsa police.
Officers arrived to find Paul Wameling shot in the torso, and he died at the home.
Police identified Dobbs as the suspect but did not reveal the motive for the shooting of if Dobbs knew Wameling. Investigators asked for the public’s help finding Dobbs until he was located this week.
