Man Accused Of Stabbing His Ex-Girlfriend To Death In Front Of Five Children: Police

A man is accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend in front of several children, police in Oklahoma said.
This week, police in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, said they arrested 28-year-old Joshua Stafford. He was charged with first-degree murder in connection to the death of Brittany Gowdy, according to KTUL.
The two were in a previous relationship.
Around 10 a.m. on Nov. 19, police responded to a possible stabbing and found the victim with multiple wounds, according to the report.

Police have not released a motive in the case, but family and friends told KOTV that the two had a relationship that ended.
"It was a relationship that went bad,” family friend Nancy Howard told the outlet.
The victim had five children and was killed in her own home, just feet away from the youngsters, family member said. The family has started a GoFundMe to help cover the funeral costs.
