A standoff in Oklahoma ended after police say three children and a woman were found dead inside a home.
Around 4 p.m. on July 20, an officer was driving in a neighborhood in Verdigris when a woman flagged him down saying she was being held hostage in a garage by another woman with a gun, KOKI reported.
Verdigris Police Chief Jack Shackleford told KOKI that the woman said there were also children in the home.
The officer saved the woman and then called in for reinforcements, officials said.
Around 7:30 p.m., officers entered the home and found the suspect and the three children dead, authorities said. Shackleford disclosed that a handgun was involved in the deadly incident.
The ages of the children have not been released, but investigators believe they are between 9 months old and 11 years old.
