An Oklahoma couple was found stabbed to death in their home and now police say their son, who committed suicide on the same day, is responsible for their murders.
Around 5 a.m. on Aug. 21, the Oklahoma City Police Department was notified that a person had committed suicide by jumping from the Scissortail Bridge onto the interstate below.
The suicide victim was identified as 19-year-old Kenny Tran, police said.
Around 10:15 a.m. that same day, the Oklahoma City Police Department was also called to a home in response to a double murder.
Once at the scene, officers said they found two bodies that appeared to have been stabbed to death. According to authorities, the victims were identified as Kim Nguyen, 59, and Van Thiet Tran, 56.
Police determined that Kenny Tran, the suicide case they investigated earlier in the morning, was the son of the couple found in that home.
Officials said Kenny Tran killed his parents and then took his own life. However, what motivated Kenny to allegedly kill his parents is unknown.
