The remains were confirmed to be Sistrunk, according to MagnoliaStateLive.

Family member said Sistrunk had gone to meet a woman he had been communicating with on Snapchat, the report noted.

Before his remains were found, police located the victim's truck in Jefferson Davis County with Sierra Inscoe behind the wheel. She was taken in for questioning but later released.

According to the Leader-Call, Inscoe had an OnlyFans page where she displayed provocative photos.

On July 16, 2024, Inscoe pleaded guilty to killing Sistrunk and then dumping his body in a Jefferson Davis County oilfield, WDAM reported.

After pleading guilty, a judge sentenced Inscoe to 40 years in prison, with 35 years to be served without the possibility of parole or early release, officials said.

In a statement, Fifteenth Circuit District Attorney Hal Kittrell said: “Thanks to their hard work, we were able to take a violent individual off the streets and show that there are severe consequences for those who do harm to others in Jefferson Davis County."

He added, "Though nothing can bring Mr. Sistrunk back, it is my sincere hope that family can find some closure in this resolution.”
