A 25-year-old woman was found dead inside an Oregon home and now police say a 29-year-old Hillsboro man has been charged with her murder.
Around 9:30 a.m. Aug. 28, the Hillsboro Police Department was dispatched to a home in Hillsboro for a CPR call.
Once on the scene, authorities said Ruby Crystal Cisneros-Martinez, 25, was found unresponsive inside the home. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
Investigators determined Jose Luis Ruiz-Santiago, 29, was involved in the death of Cisneros-Martinez.
Police have not released any detail on what led to the alleged killing or how Cisneros-Martinez was allegedly murdered.
Officials said Ruiz-Santiago was arraigned on Aug. 30 and charged with second-degree murder, but the probable cause affidavit in the murder investigation was sealed to not jeopardize the investigation.
Ruiz-Santiago was sentenced to six months in jail after pleading guilty to a fourth-degree assault charge in March 2021, The Oregonian reported.
He was also convicted of first-degree arson earlier this year, but the Oregonian stated it was unclear when he was released from jai.
