A woman in Oregon was arrested in connection to a double-murders at an apartment complex.
Around 11 p.m., police were dispatched to an apartment complex after reports of a shooting. Authorities were told that two people had been shot in an apartment and the suspect ran away.
Both victims were deceased when police arrived at the scene. They were identified as Jerry Burns, 56, and Connor Gaines, 25.
The suspect was identified as Amanda Kate Gregson, 39. Police searched near the apartment complex, but could not find her.
A few hours later, early Sunday morning, police did a welfare check at a nearby hotel.
They determined the person they were checking on was Gregson and she was arrested without incident.
Detectives interviewed Gregson then charged her with two counts of first-degree murder. She is being held without bail.
Police are still investigating, including Gregson’s connection to the two men and any motive in the crime.
