An elderly couple on vacation in Argentina were left shocked recently when they claimed to have witnessed an unidentified flying object (UFO) while photographing white birds in a tree near San Pedro de Colalao in the northern part of the country.

San Pedro de Colalao is an 8-hour drive from Capilla del Monte, which happens to host an annual UFO festival celebrating an eerie incident that took place nearly 40 years ago where a large burn mark was left on a hill’s grass.

For this recent sighting, 76-year-old Rina Juárez and her husband, René, reportedly made the drive from their home in San Miguel de Tucumán for a resort stay in San Pedro de Colalao recently.

Juárez said, “I told my husband, ‘Look, here comes a black bird.’ Then my husband said, ‘It’s not a bird, it’s a flying saucer,’” the New York Post reported.

As shocking as it seemed, Juárez was able to get some photos of the oval-shaped object, which can be seen here, as it was headed toward some mountains.

Juárez added, “I noticed it was at the same height as the power cables, but then I saw it going higher and higher.”

When she returned home, she said she showed the photos to her grandchildren, who were in “awe” of the images and of the story, The Post reported.

Juárez said, “You had to see it to believe it.”
