Pennsylvania Man Accused Of Raping Child For 3 Years, Now He's Behind Bars

A man raped a child for three years, and now he faces criminal charges, police said.
Last week, police in Scranton, Pennsylvania, announced the arrest of 46-year-old Alexis Gomez-Leiva in connection to the case.
On Aug. 29, detectives responded to a reported rape.

A 12-year-old girl told police that Gomez-Leiva had raped her for three years, starting when she was 9 years old, police said. The relationship between the victim and the suspect was not released by police.
Detectives spoke to Gomez-Leiva and he was arrested.
He now faces charges of rape, aggravated indecent assault of a child, indecent assault and statutory sexual assault.
