A Pennsylvania man confronted his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend at their house. Then he was found dead in the street from stab wounds, police say.
Around 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 28, Anne Arundel County police said they found the victim, 35-year-old Eddie Dawson Jr., lying unresponsive in the street, suffering from an apparent trauma.
Members of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department pronounced Dawson dead on the scene, according to authorities.
After an investigation, officials determined Dawson went to visit an address in the area to confront an ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend, police said.
From that confrontation, an assault took place that left Dawson with fatal wounds, officials said.
The current boyfriend, 26-year-old Dominique Rashad Lewis, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree murder, authorities said.
A police spokesperson told the Capital Gazette, “It is believed the victim was stabbed to death. A formal ruling on cause of death will be made by the medical examiner.”
