A 67-year-old man in Pennsylvania was charged with homicide after allegedly fatally shooting his 21-year-old grandson.
Police were called to the Cambria County home on April 30 for reports of shots fired at the residence, WJAC 6 reported.
They found 21-year-old Jacob Fisher unresponsive, and the coroner later pronounced him dead at the scene. The coroner said Fisher suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest, according to WJAC.
Police say family members of the victim were present at the time of the incident, according to WJAC 6.
Cambria County District Attorney Greg Neugebauer charged John Oblinsky with criminal homicide and aggravated assault, according to WJAC 6. Oblinsky is Fisher's grandfather.
“There is never a reason that domestic disputes should turn physical or involve firearms," Neugebauer said.
Oblinsky is being held in Cambria County prison and his bail was denied. Oblinsky’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 11, according to court documents obtained by WJAC 6.
