A Pennsylvania man has been sentenced to 3,000 years in prison after he was convicted of thousands of counts of child sex crimes, according to authorities.
On March 28, Greene County District Attorney David Russo announced the sentencing of 44-year-old Matthew Perry.
In November 2022, Perry was found guilty of 13,143 felony counts of sex crimes against children, Russo said. Those crimes included 2,190 counts of rape of a child under the age of 13.
In May 2022, Perry was sentenced 40 to 80 years for molesting a girl, the Observer-Reporter stated.
Perry was reportedly arrested in 2017 for abusing the preteen victim multiple times in 2016 and 2017. He has been in jail since, officials said.
He was also charged in October 2020 for abusing a second female victim multiple times in 2008, the Observer-Reporter reported.
Perry didn’t go to trial on the first case for several years, as he was considered incompetent. However, he was sent to a hospital for mental health treatment three separate times until he was deemed competent, authorities said.
Russo said, "I am proud to announce Matthew Perry would have to live for 3,000 years in order to pay his debt to society."

Perry would be eligible for parole in 3523, officials said.
Perry’s wife, Cheyenna Perry, 40, pleaded guilty in December 2018 to videotaping and taking photographs of a girl performing sex acts and then sending them to her husband, according to the Observer-Reporter. She was sentenced to 3 1/2 to seven years in prison and needed to register as a sex offender.
