An 18-year-old Pennsylvania man will spend up to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to raping a mentally disabled boy in the woods last year.
On Oct. 15, 2022, a juvenile informed Pennsylvania State Police that David Michael Heck made him engage in sexual acts in a wooded area, WTAJ-TV reported.
Two passersby reportedly saw Heck naked, and when they confronted him, he fled. The witnesses also saw the victim, who told them Heck assaulted him, according to WTAJ-TV.
The witnesses said the victim was “visibly upset and crying,” the Centre Daily Times reported.
On the same day as the assault, Heck reportedly went to the victim’s house and claimed to be the victim’s friend and a volunteer firefighter, authorities said.
On July 20, a judge sentenced Heck to a minimum of five years in prison and a maximum of 10 years behind bars after he pleaded guilty to rape of a child, court records state.
