The mother of a Pennsylvania man accused of sexually assaulting children knew of the abuse and even threatened some of the victims, police said.
On Oct. 30, police said 20-year-old Davin Gostony was arraigned and booked into the Northampton County jail in Pennsylvania on $500,000 bond after an investigation.
According to authorities, Gostony admitted he forced children to perform sexual acts over several years, The Morning Call reported.
Authorities said his 41-year-old mom, Jamie Gostony, knew about the abuse and even responded by threatening one of the victims.
Northampton County District Attorney Terence Houck said Jamie was told twice about her son’s actions and instead of reporting it, she threatened one of the victims, The Morning Call reported.
Jamie Gostony was charged with terroristic threats, intimidation of witnesses or victims and multiple counts of endangering the welfare of children, police said.
Her husband, 37-year-old Charles Canty, also faces 14 counts of endangering the welfare of children, officials said.
Both Jamie and Canty Gostony were arraigned on Nov. 2 and booked into jail. They each had bond set at $500,000.
