Brother fled with his mother after he killed his sister and left her dead in the garage, cops say
A man is accused of killing her sister and then fleeing the scene of the alleged murder.
This month, police in East Hempfield Township, Pennsylvania, responded to a report of cardiac arrest, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office. A man said he found his daughter dead in the garage of his home.
When police arrived, they found Linette Ayala, 22, dead in the garage, according to prosecutors. She was partially wrapped in bedding. Investigators also found cleaning products and a bucket in the victim’s bedroom.
Joel Ayala Jr., 20, was not at the home and had left with his mother, prosecutors said.
He was found and interviewed, prosecutors said. Ayala then admitted he was responsible for the murder.
Ayala has now been charged with criminal homicide.
