A corrections officer in Pennsylvania would pass notes and contraband to female inmates in exchange for sexual favors, police said.
Sgt. Brian T. Scott, 50, who worked at the State Correctional Institute, had encounters with at least five inmates between October 2020 and January 2021, authorities said.
According to the inmates, Scott would have them touch his genitals through where the food is put in the cell, according to authorities. He allegedly did it as he was collecting the trash.
One of the inmates told investigators Scott would pass notes to inmates in exchange for these women showing their breasts.
Investigators began interviewing these inmates in January and one inmate said Scott would pass mail, commissary or whatever they wanted through the wicket in exchange for the inmate touching him through his clothing.
After the encounter, Scott would say, “You know I love you,” as reported by NorthcentralPA.
A second inmate told investigators that Scott was “very flirty” and tried “to be your friend.”
That same inmate stated she began to flirt with Scott and he would pass electronic cigarettes to her, but it soon escalated to him passing her Suboxone and Lyrica, authorities said.
Both are prescription drugs and Suboxone is used to help treat opioid addiction.

It went further with the second inmate, as she said they had sex in a utility closet after she asked to get a plunger, officials noted. After that, Scott came to her cell and asked her if she needed to get the plunger again, cops said.
The third inmate stated she confided in Scott about her mother being diagnosed with cancer, so she felt they cared for each other, according to authorities.
This led to that inmate touching him over his clothes while he stood at the cell door, according to police. She claimed Scott began passing her notes that read, “Thought about you and missed you while I was off.”
However, the inmate found out she was not the only person Scott interacted with and became depressed, police said.
A fourth inmate stated Scott would pass letters, commissary and iPad chargers, authorities said.
Scott also told this inmate that she was beautiful and would put his genitals in the cell so she could touch it, police said.
The fifth inmate stated Scott would share personal information with her about his relationship with his wife and if his wife looked like her, he would have more sex.
He also approached her one time with his pant zipper down and asked her to touch him, but she refused, according to officials.
The corrections officer also allowed this fifth inmate and others to smoke from his personal vape pen, authorities said.
Scott was charged with institutional sexual assault, providing contraband, official oppression and obstruction of a government function, according to authorities.
Scott was released on $50,000 bail and was suspended without pay.
