A 28-year-old Pennsylvania man offered to give a girl a ride home, but police say it ended with them stopping at a local fire department and the man raping the child.
In Oct. 2019, the victim told police she asked 28-year-old Timothy Fitz for a ride home, WJAC-TV reported.
Fitz told the girl he could give her a ride home, but he had to run an errand first, which included a stop at the Dale Borough Fire Hall, according to authorities.
At the fire station, the victim stated Fitz offered to give her a tour and show her the fire trucks.
The girl was eventually taken into the lieutenant’s office by Fitz, where he refused to let her leave and assaulted her, police said. The victim said she tried to fight back and tried to force Fitz off of her.
Afterward, Fitz told the girl he’d hurt her if she ever told anyone, officials said.
She eventually told someone, as Fitz was arrested and now faces charges related to rape, indecent assault and corruption of minors, police said.
He is currently out of jail, and free on $60,000 bail.
