Months after a man was found shot to death in a vehicle in Pennsylvania, officials said they arrested the suspect killer in California.
Last week, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office in Pennsylvania announced the arrest of Tyshaun Harvey. He was arrested in California and was wanted in connection to the murder of 22-year-old Nahmer Baird.
Police found Harvey in a hotel with a woman. He faces a first-degree murder charge.
On May 29, police in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, responded to a reported shooting on West Street. When officers arrived, they found Baird in the driver’s seat of a car with gunshot wounds, prosecutors said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said a car driven by Harvey followed Baird for 40 minutes before the two cars exchanged gunfire.
Baird was able to drive for two blocks after the shooting but crashed into another truck.
Harvey was on bail in connection to a March shooting at the time of the deadly encounter, prosecutors said.
