On Sept. 15, police said they were called to a residence in Blair County, Pennsylvania, after a report of a fight between juveniles.

After investigating, police determined the fight was a result of one of the juveniles being allegedly raped by 18-year-old Austin Cooper, WJAC reported.

According to authorities, Cooper was reportedly homeless and the victim’s mother allowed him to stay at her home for a couple of weeks in September.

On Sept. 14, officials said Cooper allegedly engaged in sexual activity with the 12-year-old victim in exchange for electronics.

The mother found a condom wrapper and her son’s clothes inside the bedroom that Cooper was staying in, which is when the boy told his mother about the alleged rape, police said.

The victim talked to police and said Cooper had “molested” him, even though he asked Cooper to stop, WJAC reported.

During an initial interview with Cooper, he denied the accusations and stated the boy was “trying to collect more rent money from him,” according to WJAC.

However, he later admitted to raping the boy but stated the victim was a willing participant and never told him to stop, police said.

Cooper has been arrested and booked into the Blair County Prison on $150,000 bail, authorities said.

He was charged with child rape, indecent assault, statutory sexual assault and unlawful contact with a minor. He is scheduled for his preliminary hearing on Nov. 17, police said.
