Claire Miller, a 14 year old from Manheim, PA, is accused of killing her 19-year-old sister Helen Miller in their family home on Monday, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office.

The town is located outside Philadelphia.

Police were dispatched to the home after Claire Miller called 911 and reported that she killed her sister, prosecutors said. Court documents obtained by FOX 43 say that she was “hysterical” while on the phone.

When police arrived, they observed what seemed to be blood on the snow near the home’s driveway, FOX 43 reported.

Claire Miller took the officers to the bedroom where they found the sister dead, according to prosecutors. She had a stab wound to her neck.

First responders tried to save her life, but were not successful.

Police reported the incident occurred while the girls’ parents were asleep.

Claire Miller was arrested at the scene. She is charged with criminal homicide. Anyone accused of criminal homicide in Pennsylvania is not eligible for bail.

She will face charges as adult because homicide is not a juvenile act in Pennsylvania. She could face life in prison if convicted.
