A woman in Florida allegedly shot and killed her pet parrot during a drunken fight with her husband, according to authorities.
Suzanne Mulalley, 61, and Steven Mulalley, 66, were arrested on domestic battery charges by police in Largo, NewsNation reported.
According to police, Suzanne and her husband were drunk when she shot and killed an African grey parrot using a .380 Glock inside their home.
After the shooting took place, the couple allegedly walked outside and pushed each other, authorities said. Suzanne then allegedly sprayed her husband with water using a water bottle.
Officials said both Suzanne and her husband have denied committing the crime.
While Suzanne is not facing any charges for the alleged shooting death of her pet parrot, court records show a stipulation for her release included “no contact (with) animals” or firearms, NewsNation reported.

In February, Suzanne was charged with resisting an officer after police responded to her home in Largo following reports of a firearm being discharged in the backyard during an argument, court records show.
Police said there were “numerous loaded firearms in plain view inside the residence,” NewsNation reported.
However, officials said the charge in that case was dropped last month.
