Portland man accused of murder after man found dead at homeless camp: police

A body was found at a homeless camp in Portland, Oregon, and now police say a man has been accused of murdering the victim.
Portland police said officers were called to a welfare check around 5 p.m. on May 25.
Once at the location, police said they found a person dead at the homeless camp.
After finding the body, detectives detained Aaron D. Christopher, 40, in connection to the murder, according to authorities.
Since it is an ongoing investigation, officials have not said how they connected Christopher to the death.
Christopher was booked into the Multnomah County Jail and charged with second-degree murder and abuse of a corpse, police said.
Officials have also not released the name, age or gender of the victim due to the ongoing investigation.
