Victim Shot And Killed In Portland, Suspect Arrested On Murder And Burglary Charges

A suspect has been arrested in connection to the murder during a burglary of a 26-year-old in Portland.
This week, police said they arrested 46-year-old Shaka Imani Chambers in connection to the killing of Juan Carlos Artiles.
Chambers was charged with second-degree murder with a firearm, first-degree burglary and unlawful use of a weapon.
Around 5:45 a.m. on Sept. 4, police in Portland responded to a home on Southeast 90th Avenue for a person shot. When they arrived, officers found Artiles with a gunshot.
His death was ruled a homicide, police said.
Investigators identified Chambers as a suspect and he was arrested. Though, police did not say how they tied him to the case.
