'Psychopath’ and 'Deranged': Bible-Quoting Putin Could Start World War III, Expert Warns
Vladimir Putin has initiated a bizarre attempt to liken himself to Jesus Christ and to claim the religious high ground concerning his war in Ukraine — yet, in reality, he's a psychopath, an expert in foreign policy has warned.
As Front Page Detectives previously reported, the dictator likened himself to a new Messiah and quoted from the Bible as he merged his role as the President of Russia with a divinely mandated responsibility to defeat the "Satanic West" in the name of Orthodox Christendom.
This isn't the first time the autocrat has portrayed himself as a defender of the faith, but this time, he provided a startling insight into his twisted perspective by claiming he was sent to instill "traditional" values in Russia's youth during the opening of a children's center in Moscow.
However, British historian Professor Anthony Glees of the Buckingham University Centre for Security and Intelligence Studies, has told the Mirror that Putin's perception of himself is "deranged" and presenting himself as a "Messianic" savior is a stretch.
He claims Putin is a "psychopath" who is unable to recognize his own mortality, and is even resorting to cosmetic filler injections to maintain a youthful appearance.
Commenting on the Russian President's peculiar Jesus comparison, Prof Glees explained: "I read this with astonishment. Because what people like me have been saying for some time is that Putin is demented. He’s got grandiose ideas and is completely shutting his mind off to two things in particular.
"First, he’s getting older, even if he looks younger in pictures. I’ve thought about body doubles, and he does have body doubles no doubt about it, but I also think he’s having filler put in his cheeks.
"Basically, he looks younger and healthier than he did in 1989 when the Berlin wall fell down. The first thing that he’s lost sight of is his own mortality. And the second thing he’s lost sight of is the mortality of others — the hundreds of thousands of people who are dying because of him."

In recent years, several news outlets have raised questions about Putin's public appearances, with some pointing out discrepancies, such as his ears, in photographs.
This has led to rumors of him sending body doubles to stand in his place. Some publications have even gone as far as to suggest that the Putin who came to power in the 90s is a different person from the current president.

There are also rumors that the Russian leader, who seems unaffected by public opinion, may be addicted to plastic surgery. A video clip from last year showed the leader seemingly unable to smile properly, with many speculating that it was due to cheek fillers.
Although his face has undoubtedly changed considerably over the years, the Kremlin has refused to comment on the persistent rumors. Some believe it's Putin's alleged use of steroids that altered his appearance.
Commenting on Putin's "Messianic" message, Professor Glees added: "So, I’ve always thought he was demented, though I’ve also said he’s not suicidal and under his own terms he’s not irrational, but I think he is a psychopath.”
Putin's campaign to instill morality in Russian youth is being guided by Patriarch Kirill, the head of Russia's powerful Orthodox Church. Alongside his fervent support for the war in Ukraine, the patriarch has claimed that the most insidious threat to Russia is the decline in "traditional" values among the youth.
Putin's backing for the Ukrainian war has also granted him the religious high ground by labeling the so-called "special military operation" as a holy war. He also pledged that any Russian soldier slain during their time in Ukraine would be immediately absolved of sin, which is convenient considering the large number of criminals conscripted to fight Putin's war of attrition.
