Fifteen years after a woman was raped at a Kentucky hotel, police say they have arrested a suspect, according to a report.
This week, police in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, arrested Ian Angel, 47, in connection to the case. He was charged with rape and robbery, according to WKRC.
The incident happened on Aug. 23, 2007, at a Super 8 Motel in the Kentucky town, according to the report.
Investigators say Angel met with a woman who performed dances and massage services in a motel room, according to WKRC. The woman told police when she didn’t agree to sexual acts, Angel got mad and beat her until she lost consciousness.
When she woke up, she was missing money and two cell phones.
DNA was taken at the time, but there was no match, according to the report. Two months ago, however, a match was found between the DNA and Angel.
