Las Vegas Man Allegedly Fatally Stabs Roommate After Argument About Rent, Household Expenses, Police Say
Authorities in Las Vegas arrested a man on suspicion of murder after he allegedly killed his roommate during a dispute about rent, police said.
On July 25, officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department took Rodney Faulk II, 29, into custody and charged him with the murder of 20-year-old Devaughn Senegal Jr., the Las Vegas Sun reported.
Earlier that morning, Faulk and Senegal got into the argument over rent and other household expenses, and Faulk allegedly stabbed the victim in the neck and back, according to police.
Faulk then phoned 911 to report the incident and told the dispatcher he was heading to an area 7-Eleven, police said.
A neighbor found the victim lying dead from multiple stab wounds in front of a house shortly after 9 a.m., and officers took Faulk into custody a short time later, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
Faulk allegedly claimed Senegal had threatened to fight him, police said, according to the outlet.
The suspect was being held at the Clark County Detention Center, jail records show.
