Man Cut Off Woman As They Drove, Then Pulled A Large Sword In Alleged Road-Rage Incident: Report
A man allegedly pulled a sword during a road rage incident and now faces several criminal charges.
Earlier this month, police in North Providence, Rhode Island, responded to a road rage incident where a suspect got out of a vehicle and confronted a woman as he carried a large sword, according to WPRI.
The woman told police she was cut off and honked at the driver, according to WPRI. The suspect then blocked her vehicle so she couldn’t leave.
The man then came up to her window with a sword “the size of her lower body,” according to the report.
“He was very vicious,” the unnamed victim told WPRI. “He had foam coming out of his mouth and was yelling, ‘Get out of the car!'”
Last week, police announced they arrested the suspect swordsman. Xariel Olivo was arrested in connection to the case and charged with assault and battery, weapons other than firearms and disorderly conduct.
