A man in Texas has been arrested after police said he kidnapped and sexually assaulted a woman who was waiting for roadside assistance.

Around 3:30 a.m. on May 16, police received a call from a woman who was screaming for help and saying she had just been sexually assaulted, according to court documents obtained by KTBC.

According to authorities, the woman told police she had been waiting for roadside assistance in Northeast Austin for about an hour when a man in a white SUV pulled up.

The woman’s vehicle had a blown out tire and the man, later identified as 31-year-old Reynaldo Tapia-Arcibar, led her to believe he was there to help her out, the court documents allege

In the documents, authorities write that Tapia-Arcibar got the woman into his passenger seat and told her he was going to take her to get a new tire, but instead he drove about 10 minutes north to an apartment complex parking lot where he allegedly began sexually assaulting her.
