Russian authorities have reported the interception of a British-manufactured drone, claiming to have extracted valuable intelligence from its systems.
According to the Kremlin’s FSB security service, the Banshee kamikaze jet drone deviated from its designated flight path during a mission, leading to its capture by Russian forces in the Novoazovsky district.
The drone, which was later identified as a Banshee Jet-80, was allegedly equipped with a 7-kilogram warhead, neutralized by explosives experts following a controlled landing.
The Daily Mail reported that analysis of the UAV's electronic data revealed its intended target to be a significant civil infrastructure site in Mariupol, Ukraine.
However, specifics regarding the capture method or the drone's precise mission remain undisclosed.
