Michigan Man Allegedly Used Scissors To Stab His Wife To Death, Prosecutor Says
A man in Michigan faces murder and torture charges for allegedly using a pair of scissors to fatally stab his wife, prosecutors said.
Around 9 p.m. on May 3, officers responded to a call about a possible homicide at a Westland home and discovered the body of 45-year-old Sarah Grant in the garage, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
She had suffered multiple lacerations across her body caused by what prosecutors alleged was a pair of scissors.
The suspect in the case, the victim’s husband, William Scott Grant, 49, had fled the scene before officers arrived, but he was taken into custody later that day.
William Grant was charged with one count of premeditated first-degree murder, one count of felony murder and one count of torture, prosecutors said.
A GoFundMe states Sarah Grant is survived by two daughters, Madison and Reagan. The page has raised more than $40,000 for her family.
"Sarah was such a kind-hearted person, and she will never ever be forgotten!" the page read.
