Scott Peterson: The Inside Story of How a Cheater Tossed His Pregnant Wife Into the Bay (FPD CASE VAULT)
July 27 2023, Published 12:03 p.m. ET
Heartless husband Scott Peterson brutally murdered his eight-months-pregnant wife and unborn son - then dumped their bodies like trash in frigid San Francisco Bay!
The shocking slaughters rocked the nation and elevated the monster fertilizer salesmen to one of the most hated men in America.
The case broke when Peterson callously called Laci's parents, claiming his 27-year-old wife Laci had vanished without a trace while out for a walk near their Modesto, Calif., home on Christmas Eve 2002.
Despite the atrocity he'd just committed, the coldblooded creep carried on with his life, playing golf and romancing his mistress Amber Frey while thousands of people scoured the area in search of his beautiful wife and unborn son Conner.
At first, Laci's family and friends rallied around him. But their support quickly crumbled when details of his sinister double life surfaced, including his numerous affairs, most recently with pretty blonde masseuse Frey.
She eventually helped cops rip the case open by revealing that Peterson had told her he'd "lost" his wife more than two weeks before Laci disappeared.
The fiend's final undoing came on April 13, 2003, when Conner's body washed up just north of a Berkeley marina, where Peterson claimed he'd been boating the day his wife disappeared. Laci's badly decomposed remains were found the next day.
Scott was arrested four days later, 30 miles from the Mexican border. He'd changed his appearance, bleaching his hair and growing a goatee and moustache. He also carried $10,000 in cash.
