Suspect Wanted For Allegedly Murdering Teenager In Illinois Apprehended In Oklahoma, Police Say
Two suspects were arrested in Oklahoma in connection with the fatal shooting of a teenager in Illinois, authorities said.
The U.S. Marshal’s Service aided police in taking Corion Thomas, 17, and 22-year-old Davyon J. Q. Woods-Jackson into custody in Oklahoma City last week.
Thomas is charged with the first-degree murder of Angel Lopez Jr. in Rock Island, Illinois, KWQC reported.
Woods-Jackson faces two counts of obstruction of justice.
Thomas was being held on $500,000 bond while Jackson was being held on $40,000 bond. Both are expected to be extradited to Rock Island County, Illinois, from Oklahoma.
According to Rock Island police, shortly before 8 p.m. on Sept. 18, officers found Lopez suffering a gunshot wound to his chest. He later died from his injuries.
