North Carolina Woman Arrested For First-Degree Murder After Early Morning Shooting, Cops Say
A North Carolina woman is behind bars after she allegedly shot someone to death at a residence, authorities said.
According to WNCT, officers responding to a residence in Jamestown shortly before 5 a.m. found the victim suffering a fatal gunshot wound.
Police took Crystal Constance Bennett into custody and charged her with first-degree murder in connection with the deadly incident, the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office said.
She was denied bond in the case.
Officials withheld the shooting victim’s identity pending family notification of the death.
The investigation into the homicide is ongoing.
