Texas Teenager Accused Of Fatally Shooting Woman Visiting Her Son’s Grave
Authorities in Texas arrested a teenager in connection with the fatal shooting of a mother visiting her son’s grave last spring.
On Aug. 13, police in Killeen charged Christian Lamar Weston, 17, with the murder of Yolanda N'Gaojia, 52.
N'Gaojia was at the Calvary Baptist Church Garden of Memories Cemetery on March 22 — what would have been her son’s 22nd birthday — when Weston allegedly shot her, police said.
N’Gaojia died from her injuries almost two hours later. A second person who also suffered gunshot wounds in the incident was treated and released, KXXV reported.
Weston was being held without bond on the murder charge. According to police, the suspect also faces an unrelated unlicensed carrying of a weapon charge.
“I hope he gets the death penalty,” The victim’s husband, Kineh N’Gaojia, wrote on social media after learning about the arrest.
