South Carolina Suspect Accused Of Shooting Woman In Front Of Home, Police Say
A South Carolina man is accused of fatally gunning down a woman in the front yard of a residence, police said.
Shortly before 9:30 p.m. on May 13, police responded to the building in Charleston after receiving several calls about shots fired in the area, WCIV reported.
At the scene, officers discovered the victim dead from “obvious trauma,” authorities said, according to the station.
Major warrants officers with the Charleston Police Department worked with multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, the FBI and U.S. Marshal’s Task Forces, to take London Fields, 22, into custody in connection with the deadly shooting.
Fields faces charges of murder, attempted murder, and possession of a deadly weapon during commission of a violent crime.
He was being held at the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center prior to his bond hearing.
