Texas Man ‘Freaked Out,’ Allegedly Shot Woman In Face ‘For No Reason,’ Witness Claims To Police
A man in Texas accused of shooting a woman in the face for no reason was arrested in connection with her murder, according to authorities.
San Antonio police responding to the report of a shooting on Dec. 1 found a 31-year-old woman still alive despite her severe injuries. She was rushed to a hospital, where she later died, KSAT reported.
According to the station, police learned a man named Greg who was around 25 years old fled the scene following the shooting.
One eyewitness claimed the woman was doing drugs and the suspect, later identified as Gregory Bernard Wilder, 33, “freaked out” and allegedly pulled out a gun and shot her “for no reason,” the San Antonio Police Department said.
The witness was later able to identify the suspect based on surveillance video that showed Wilder and the woman at a convenience store, according to police.
The murder suspect was arrested on Dec. 3 and booked into the Bexar County jail, where he was being held on a $200,000 bond.
