Teenager Accused Of Fatally Shooting Grandfather Outside New Hampshire Gas Station, Police Say
A New Hampshire teenager was arrested hours he allegedly killed a grandfather outside a gas station, authorities said.
Around 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 5, officers in Nashua responded to a report of a shooting at the business and found Lee Knoetig, 53, suffering a fatal gunshot wound to the chest, WBZ-TV reported.
Investigators identified 19-year-old Alexander Wheeler as a suspect in the case and arrested him for second-degree murder hours later, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office.
Police have not revealed a motive for the crime. Investigators have not said how they tied the teenager to the alleged murder.
The shooting happened at a gas station, according to NBC Boston.
Wheeler is set to appear in court on Aug. 8.
