Texan Fatally Shoots Her Husband After He Admits He Loves Another Woman, Sheriff Says

A suspect in Texas faces a murder charge for allegedly fatally shooting her husband after he confessed to her that he was in love with another woman, authorities said.

On May 7, police responded to a shooting at a home in Spring, where they discovered James Hargrove shot multiple times, KHOU reported.

The victim was transported to an area hospital and declared dead.

According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, Hargrove’s wife, 51-year-old Carin Stewart, “advised responding deputies that she shot her husband.”

KTRK-TV obtained surveillance footage from a neighbor that shows a car back into the couple’s driveway around 1:45 a.m. and a man and woman get out of the vehicle. Around 30 minutes later, the video shows, a woman came running out of the home and down the street.

The identity of the woman was unclear.

Around 5 a.m., according to the station, a woman can be seen on the video getting into a squad car.

The sheriff said Stewart, who faces a murder charge, was booked into the Harris County Jail.

She was being held on $75,000 bond.
