Alabama Man Free On Bond For Attempted Murder Now Accused Of Shooting Sister, Mother And Grandmother
An Alabama man who was free on bond for attempted murder now is charged with attempting to murder three of his own relatives.
Rodterrius Swanson, 22, was arrested in suburban Birmingham on April 13. Police said he shot his grandmother, mother and sister at a home Easter evening.
AL.com reported the sister called Birmingham police to report what happened. Officers say at least 10 adults and several children were in the home when the gunfire occurred.
WIAT-TV reported Swanson's sister was shot three times in the chest, but is expected to recover.
Swanson was being held on three counts of attempted murder, possessing a pistol while not permitted and shooting into an occupied dwelling.
Swanson was arrested January 30 on a separate count of attempted murder with a gun, as well as domestic violence. While details on that case are not available, Jefferson County jail records indicate he posted a $90,000 bond.
The new bond for Swanson was set at $225,000.
