52-Year-Old Found Shot And Stabbed To Death In Yard, Son Accused Of Murder
A man is accused of killing his father in North Carolina, though police are still trying to determine why.
Around 7:40 p.m. on April 24, the Roberson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Pembroke, North Carolina, home for a report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they found Patrick L. Maynor, 52, dead in the front yard, according to the sheriff’s office. The victim was also stabbed during the alleged assault, police noted.
Noah Maynor, 20, was taken into custody at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators said Noah Maynor is the victim’s son. The motive for the alleged homicide remains under investigation.
Noah Maynor was charged with first-degree murder and booked into jail. He is being held without bond.
