Kentucky Man Allegedly Killed Wife, Wounded Their Child In Early Morning Shooting, Police Say
A Kentucky man was apprehended a day after he was accused of fatally shooting his wife and wounding one of their two children, authorities said.
Shortly before 5 a.m. on May 15, officers responding to a residence in Shively found Cindy Burdette, 49, shot dead, police said, WLKY reported.
Officers also located a 12-year-old child suffering a gunshot wound as well as the young victim’s twin, who was uninjured. The shot child was transported to an area hospital and is in stable condition.
According to police, Ronald Burdette was arrested without incident for the shootings the following morning in Jeffersonville, Indiana, and booked into jail.

He currently faces charges of murder and wanton endangerment and was expected to be extradited to Jefferson County, Kentucky.
Neighbors of the family told WDRB they heard screaming coming from the Burdettes' house prior to law enforcement arriving and surrounding the residence
Citing court records, the station reported the suspect had no prior violent criminal history.
